3-Wheeler: George Corbett |
George & Margaret Corbett’s 1925 Grand Prix 3-wheeler takes the honours. 3-wheelers are renowned for losing oil, and despite doing two laps of the circuit before judging, this lovely 82 year old car managed the second best score for the underside of the car scoring only 1 point less than the World Champion. |

Aero 8: Colin Trott |
Colin Trott’s 2007 Aero 8, R 1 CRT, deservedly won this class with this beautifully presented car which was displayed with matching luggage. It had the highest points in the competition for the engine compartment, scoring 86 out a possible 90 leading to an impressive 500 points final score which took it to second place overall in the World Competition. |
Plus 4: Chris Cheal |
Another new to Concours winner, Chris Cheal, won the +4 class scoring 478 points taking him to 4th overall in the World Competition. |
4/4: Simon Cummin |
Yet another new concours entrant, Simon Cummin, took the 4/4 trophy and was placed third overall scoring 491 points with this beautiful car. You might recognise this car because it was the overall winner last year when owned and prepared by John Beeskin. John then entered it in the National AutoGlym Concours where it competed successfully. |
Pride of Ownership: David Little |
This very early 2-seater coupe, chassis number 2101, had recently been totally restored in California by Gerry Wilburn and it arrived back in the UK just in time for Goodwood. It was the other car in the +FourMog team with Chris Godwin’s +4 which were second in the Team Competition. |
Road Modified: David Mackie-Gandy |
This car was only four weeks old on the day of the competition. Amongst others, it was competing against that amazing “Pink Lady”car of Sindy Rutter, but during its short life, David had changed so many “big” things that there could be only one winner this year. |
Team: “RutMog” |
Sindy Rutter (4/4) and Simon Cummin (4/4) take this year’s team prize. |
Flat Rad: Chris Godwin |
Chris’s car, chassis number 2104, is thought to be the first Flat Rad to be exported to the U.S.A. in 1951. It was eventually returned to England where it was sympathetically restored to its now superb condition. Chris entered it in the Pride of Ownership Competition to accompany David Little’s Coupe, chassis number 2101, and their +FourMog team were placed second in the Team Competition. |
